Statement regarding LockBit claims

Earlier this morning we became aware of tweets from LockBit, the cyber-criminal gang, claiming that they had compromised Darktrace’s internal security systems and had accessed our data. Our security teams have run a full review of our internal systems and can see no evidence of compromise. None of the LockBit social media posts link to any compromised Darktrace data. We will continue to monitor the situation extremely closely, but based on our current investigations we are confident that our systems remain secure and all customer data is fully protected.

Darktrace, a global leader in cyber security AI, today announced that the business has won the “Cutting-Edge Cyber Security” award in the Artificial Intelligence category and “Market Leader” in the Enterprise Security category at the 2022 Global InfoSec Awards presented by Cyber Defense Magazine. These awards recognize innovative AI technology and comprehensive, business-wide security coverage.

The Global InfoSec Awards reward the organizations and security solutions demonstrating a forward-thinking approach to managing cyber-risk and protecting against increasingly complex cyber-threats. “At its core, Darktrace is an AI company that works to support our growing customer base in meeting the next generation of cyber-threats,” said Jack Stockdale OBE, Chief Technology Officer at Darktrace. “We are proud to offer innovative solutions at the cutting edge of AI and cyber security emerging from the groundbreaking R&D stemming from our Cyber AI Research Centres.”
