Statement regarding LockBit claims

Earlier this morning we became aware of tweets from LockBit, the cyber-criminal gang, claiming that they had compromised Darktrace’s internal security systems and had accessed our data. Our security teams have run a full review of our internal systems and can see no evidence of compromise. None of the LockBit social media posts link to any compromised Darktrace data. We will continue to monitor the situation extremely closely, but based on our current investigations we are confident that our systems remain secure and all customer data is fully protected.

Darktrace, the world’s leading AI company for cyber defense has today announced that one of Hong Kong’s leading apparel suppliers, EPIC Group, has selected Darktrace’s AI technology to defend its valuable designs and other IP from stealthy cyber-attacks and insider threat.

With world-class manufacturing facilities in Asia, EPIC Group produces more than 80 million garments annually, counting numerous recognizable brands such as Walmart, Levi Strauss, and Marks & Spencer as customers. The organization joins a growing number of other industry leaders using Darktrace to safeguard their sensitive IP, including creators of the best-selling British computer, Raspberry Pi, leading technology provider, NovAtel, and transmission ultrasound pioneer, QT Ultrasound.

Arindam Sinha, Group Chief Information Officer, EPIC Group, commented: “Our intellectual property gives us an invaluable edge over the competition, so we need to do all that we can to protect it. As stealthy attacks and subtle insider threat are constant and increasingly sophisticated, we now recognize AI as an essential part of our cyber defense. Darktrace enables us to detect and respond to threats occurring anywhere across our digital infrastructure, as it continues to grow and change.”
